Butterfly Foundation offers paid and free volunteer opportunities for people like you wishing to make a difference to the lives of those less fortunate. It is a challenge to find somewhere that matches your values with the right charity or local organisation without charging exorbitant fees. At Butterfly Foundation we believe in giving you the flexibility to volunteer in Nepal and make the greatest impact.

VOLUNTEER PACKAGE:

Minimum time commitment: 1 month.

Package to Include: Accomodation in simple room with shared bathroom, shower and toilet.

Two or three meals per day(Coffee and bread in the morning, Sandwiches in the afternoon and Nepali Dhat Bhat with the family in the evening.

Use of bicycle to other 17 ward center in Pokhara.

Free Wi-Fi.

Volunteer Manual.

The cost of the whole package is only 400 Euro Per Month.

INDEPENDENT VOLUNTEER PLACEMENTS:

Individuals wishing to volunteer for short periods of time with the Butterfly Foundation or who wish to be independent, are responsible for their own housing and living arrangements in Pokhara (i.e. accommodation, food, travel to the work site).

General Note to All:

Please note that all volunteers are required to adhere to the daily activity schedule. This is to ensure that children's daily learning and play patterns are not disrupted. Volunteers may still work flexible hours..

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

General Support

General support volunteers are welcome to get involved in all child care activities under the supervision of the Head Teacher/Mothers: playing with children, assisting with the delivery of teaching and structured play, feeding and cleaning the children, cleaning the centre, etc..

Skilled Teachers And Early-Schildhood Specialists:

We welcome applications from:

*Professional Teachers :

*Early Childhood Specialists

*Volunteers with a music or art background

*Volunteers with experience teaching English as a Second Language

OTHER SKILLED OPPORTUNITIES:

*Health Workers & Health Education Workers- BFN welcomes applications from doctors, nurses, midwives, medical students and other health professionals interested in activities such as: planning and implementation of health camps; development, promotion and implementation of health awareness campaigns; health outreach projects; etc. :

*IT & Administrative Assistants- Duties and responsibilities would include tasks such as: development of BFN's presence on the internet (e.g. website, blog, newsletters); raising BFN's profile on social networking sites; assistance with the day-to-day running of the Foundation's office. :

*Professional Fundraisers & Project Managers- Liason with Butterfly Foundation to: research and secure funding, write proposals, network with relevant local organizations, government and international NGO's. :

*Financial Officer for Micro-Loan Program-Assist with the micro-loan program development, supervise loan distribution and help borrowers:

*Maintenance & Construction Work Placements -Renovations, painting, yardwork etc. at the childcare centres around Pokhara :
